About me - I am an occupational therapist with 25+ years' experience, working in a wide range of health, aged care, disability and governments sectors. I provide advice for minor and complex home modifications, equipment prescription, functional assessments, complex seating and dementia screening.
What services does Beta OT Solutions offer?
- Individualised assessment and discussion with clients to assist in finding possible solutions, with a focus on client-directed therapy
- Education in alternate ways of completing tasks such as relaxation strategies, joint protection
- Providing carers or support workers with education and information
- Recommending equipment to make everyday tasks easier and safer. e.g. seating, dressing
- Improving community access such as prescription of wheelchairs and motorized scooters
- Recommending modifications to residences to enable clients to stay at home safely, e.g. rails, bathroom alterations, ramps or external railing
- Linking clients to other health professionals or services
- Where eligible, assisting with application to funding schemes for home modifications or equipment, including SWEP and NDIS
