Beta OT Solutions is an Occupational Therapy Service for adult clients with a primary physical disability.

Assessments are tailored to understand individuals’ unique needs and develop tailored goals to help improve their independence in daily living and access to the community. 

This may include prescription of the most suitable equipment, home modifications, new techniques to do tasks in a different way, or assistance to access the right services.

Clients are assessed in their homes as this is the best place to see how daily activities are  managed.

Occupational Therapy Services Available:

Functional Assessments     

An Occupational Therapy Functional Assessment is all about helping you achieve your goals. The assessment works to determine your current level of functioning, what your strengths and weaknesses may be, how you manage on a day-to-day basis and identify any challenges that may need to be addressed.

The assessment is carried out in your home to see how you perform everyday tasks, such as:
* getting in and out of bed
* getting dressed, showering, grooming and looking after personal hygiene
* preparing meals, cleaning
* caring for others in the household
* getting around both at home and within the community.

Assistive Technology

Whether its tools for improving independence in dressing or cooking tasks, customised power wheelchair or hoist provision, we are experts in the latest assistive technology and equipment.  We work closely with many equipment providers throughout the state to offer a wide range of options.

We also assist with funding applications for equipment through a variety of funding streams, including NDIS, TAC and Support at Home.


Home Modifications  

Sometimes the environment presents barriers to independence and safety.

Occupational Therapy plays a key role in identifying strategies that enable individuals to modify their homes, thereby maximizing their ability to participate in daily activities.

From grab rails to bathroom renovations and ramps, work with you to find the perfect solution for your home. We are well networked with local builders, and all modifications are recommended within Australian Standards AS 1428.1-2021.

We also assist with funding applications.

If you are building or renovating a house, we can also provide advice on the layout and design that will maximize your safety and independence into the future.
